*Sometimes there's a little more to my life than food. Friday's the day I'll share, I mean, most Fridays I hope to share those bits with you. We'll cover crafts, music, travel, who knows.
My good friend P.J. over at A 'lil Hoohaa beats me at Words With Friends on a weekly basis, but he writes a good blog that touches on many topics from photography to geocaching to disc golf. Did I mention he takes awesome photos? Yeah, so even though he makes me feel like a fool when he plays three-letter words for 60 points, he's pretty cool, and I owe him a big thank you for giving me The Versatile Blogger Award.
And now it's time I pass the torch.
Yes, the Versatile Blogger Award gives me the opportunity to show some of my favorite bloggers a little appreciation. Before I get to that, though, I'm supposed to share seven random facts about myself.
1. I do not eat chicken wings.
2. I never leave the house without nail polish on my toes.
3. I've had to wear glasses since I was in eighth grade.
4. I love to read.
5. I don't floss my teeth every day even though I know I should.
6. I own golf sandals because I prefer to play golf only when it is warm enough for sandals.
7. I could watch Sex and the City reruns every day and not get tired of them.
Was that random enough?
OK, now on to passing on this award. I'm supposed to pass this award along to 15 bloggers who write blogs I appreciate, and then I'm supposed to let them know they've been awarded.
Now, I understand the importance of rules and whatnot, but the majority of the blogs I read focus on specific topics. It seems like a stretch to pass this along to 15 other Internet peeps. How about five? That should do.
1. Fancy That ... Fancy This
This blog cracks me up on a regular basis. Ameena writes about motherhood, marriage, and life with a hilarious dose of honesty. And she lets her daughter read to her.
OK, so this is a cooking blog. You caught me. But it's a good blog. The photos are great, and the recipes always sound delicious. And she's studying to be an RD. I'm jealous. We do have the same name, though, so that should count for something.
3. Make it Do
I love to cook. I love to sew. I love to craft. I love this blog.
4. Thrifty Veggie Mama
I'm new to this blog, but I'm already a huge fan. She writes about vegetarian cooking and saving money - and she menu plans! I can't help but be a huge fan of anyone with those organization skills. Needless to say, I'm impressed.
5. Outtakes on the Outskirts
Anyone who loves or can at least appreciate all that comes with rural living will enjoy this one. It makes me want to raise some chicks.
Now go spread the love!
