What I Ate Wednesday: Week 6

If there's anything this whole What I Ate Wednesday business is teaching me it's that I eat a whole lot of food that may not be that eye-catching. The husband's always giving me a hard time about what I eat.

He gives me a little laugh, shakes his eye while he raises his eyebrows and says, "Whatever makes you happy, Honey."

I'm used to that. I thought he was just giving me a hard time 'cause that's just what he does. But I'm starting to think he may be on to something: I really do put some strange things together. And they don't always look that appetizing.

I think I'll work on that. Till then, though, here's another What I Ate Wednesday that may not make you want to lick your computer screen.

My Monday Eats

Breakfast: egg whites, cheddar, ketchup; half caff; almond milk and vanilla protein powder
The husband's take: Why do you have to ruin eggs with ketchup?

Snack: 1/2 cup nonfat cottage cheese with a single-serving cup of mandarin oranges

Lunch: a little leftover ground beef/peppers/onions taco bowl from the night before; string cheese; vanilla protein powder and water; Greek yogurt

Before-Dinner Snack: 1/2 cup nonfat cottage cheese mixed with chocolate whey protein powder

Dinner: romaine lettuce with 2 teaspoons Ken's Northern Italian dressing; curried coconut chicken

Snack: natural peanut butter and a few mini Cadbury chocolate eggs (my ultimate weakness!)

  1. Photographing food is seriously hard to do! I have trouble making anything look appetizing too, and am in awe of some of the food bloggers out there. But I think we're hardest on ourselves, yours look good! I especially love your dinner pic, and coconut chicken sounds delicious!!

  2. I tend to eat the same thing over and over. I found myself questioning just how many english muffin pizza pictures I can use in my 365 project today :) Your eats sound fantastic!

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to show my space a little love.
